In recent days, the Tianjin ERA loading area has been bustling with activity, illuminated by bright lights and filled with a constant flow of vehicles. On-site staff have been meticulously checking, handling, and packing goods, creating a scene of organized busyness. In the early morning hours, nine high-cube container trucks, fully loaded with ERA pipeline products, departed from the factory, heading towards Tianjin Port.

It is understood that these products will embark from Tianjin Port, heading south through the Taiwan Strait, then continuing southwest, passing through the Strait of Malacca, entering the North Indian Ocean, and through the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean. They will then pass through the Strait of Gibraltar into the Atlantic Ocean, finally reaching Tangier Port in Morocco. These products, crossing vast seas, will be utilized in projects under the "Belt and Road" initiative, serving as a prime example of ERA's participation in China-Africa cooperation...

The implementation of this project is particularly significant in the current context. From September 4 to 6, 2024, the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) took place. General Secretary Xi Jinping announced that China's bilateral relations with all African countries that have diplomatic ties with China would be elevated to a strategic level, and the overall positioning of China-Africa relations would be upgraded to a New Era All-Weather China-Africa Community of Shared Future. Ten partnership actions to jointly advance modernization between China and Africa will be implemented.

In recent years, ERA has consistently responded to initiatives like the "Belt and Road" and the "China-Africa Community of Shared Future," integrating into the African market, actively participating in African project construction, and contributing to the new blueprint for China-Africa development with the power of Chinese manufacturing and the responsibility of a national brand.

01 Inclusive Landmarks: Supporting Modernization Development

The Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Presidential Palace of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as one of the nation's symbols, serves as the office and residence of the country's president. It is located in Kinshasa, the capital and largest city of the DRC, which is also the political, economic, and cultural center of the country. The implementation of ERA's drainage system at the DRC Presidential Palace marks a significant milestone for ERA in the African market. It not only enhances the national image but also reflects the DRC's recognition and trust in Chinese manufacturing.

Kenya Defence Forces Residential Accommodation

China Railway No. 10 Engineering Group is assisting in the construction of a housing project for the Kenyan Ministry of Defense, which includes a total of 3,069 housing units spread across five locations: Rosambu in Nairobi, Nanyuki near Mount Kenya, Mariakani in Mombasa, Lannet in Nakuru, and Gilgil.

As a key project aimed at improving the living conditions of the Kenyan people, it is also part of the Kenyan government's "Big Four Agenda" under the affordable housing initiative, receiving significant attention from the government. Upon completion, the project will help boost the morale of the defense forces, enhancing their cohesion and combat effectiveness. ERA's PPR water supply products are being utilized in this project, ensuring a stable water supply for its ongoing operation.

02 Building Infrastructure Together: Awakening Urban Modernization

Nairobi express way

The Nairobi Expressway is a 27-kilometer toll road connecting Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and the Westlands area of Kenya's capital, Nairobi. The construction and operation of the Nairobi Expressway are significant infrastructure projects for the region, enhancing Nairobi's traffic efficiency, promoting local economic development, and advancing regional integration. 03 Empowering Manufacturing: Achieving Industrial Modernization

Morocco New Energy Battery Materials Project

The Morocco New Energy Battery Materials Project, constructed by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), is an industrial investment project under the "Belt and Road" initiative, undertaken by a domestic publicly listed company specializing in new energy materials. The project involves the high-standard construction of production lines for nickel-based materials, phosphorus-based materials, and recycled battery materials. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of ternary precursor materials and their corresponding raw material refining, 60,000 tons of phosphorus-based materials, and 30,000 tons of black powder recycling capacity, continuously promoting the development of the local new energy materials industry.

ERA's PE water supply, PPR water supply, and PPR insulation products are applied in this project, ensuring the delivery and commissioning of the project's first production line in the fourth quarter of 2024 with high-quality products and services.

At the same time, ERA, leveraging the strong advantages of its overseas market platform, has established partnerships with numerous large state-owned enterprises and central enterprises, actively participating in several aid projects under China's opening-up initiatives. ERA's presence can be found in aid projects across African countries such as Zambia, South Sudan, Angola, and Mauritius, widely applied in the construction of public buildings and facilities like government offices, judicial buildings, security schools, and police academies.中伟股份摩洛哥电池厂

The African market has always been a core segment of ERA's foreign trade operations. As early as 2005, ERA began developing and deeply cultivating the African market, especially with the establishment of the wholly-owned subsidiary "Yonggao Piping Systems Africa Ltd." in Kenya in 2019, achieving localized operations and regional expansion in the African market. In recent years, export volumes to the African market have continuously reached new highs, with the "ERA " trademark registered in 38 African countries and certified by South Africa's SANS standards. ERA's business now spans nearly 40 African countries. Currently, ERA's products have expanded beyond the single fields of water supply and drainage to encompass municipal, agricultural, and firefighting sectors, providing diversified services for the construction of pipeline networks in more African markets.

In the past, China was Africa's companion in the quest for liberation; in the future, China will continue to be Africa's partner in the pursuit of development. ERA, with its sustained leadership in domestic industry export volumes over the years, will continue to actively respond to national strategies by strengthening product innovation and development. The company will persist in adapting to and integrating with the African market, enhancing its overseas service capabilities, and providing strong "Made in China" support for Africa's modernization and development.
