1、Wrapped in warm materials outdoors

In winter, the outdoor temperature is low, so it is necessary to wrap the exposed cold and hot water pipes (especially in balcony, kitchen and so forth) with cotton and linen fabrics, foam, thermal insulation cotton and other thermal insulation materials, which can not only prevent freezing, but also prevent wind and sun, external force damage and prolong the service life of water pipes. In addition, wrapping thermal insulation materials can also reduce the heat loss of water pipes, saving energy and protecting the environment.

2、Apply antifreeze

Purchase pipe antifreeze through online shopping or supermarkets. Applying antifreeze to water pipes before the weather cools down can also play a certain anti-freezing role.

3、Empty the remaining water

During the cold wave, You can turn off the main outdoor water valve at night after washing up and then turn on the faucet to empty the pipes, which can also prevent the water pipe from being frozen.

Thawing Measures

If the water pipe has been frozen, don't try hard to unscrew the faucet. At this time, the faucet is brittle and easy to break. The first step at this time should be to turn off the main outdoor pipe valve at the first time.

1、Heating

If the water pipe at home is made of PP-R, and the freezing situation is not particularly serious, you can thaw the water pipes by heating them slowly with a hairdryer or heater. Heating process to move up and down, left and right multi-angle, so that the water pipe is evenly heated.

2、Thawing with warm water

Never use boiling water to spray water pipes, because drastic changes in heat and cold will lead to the rupture of water pipes. Use warm water to rinse slowly and evenly.
