ERA in the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB)

When it comes to the most spectacular sea-crossing bridges in the world, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) is undoubtedly a unique feat of engineering. Not only is it the world's longest sea-crossing bridge, but it also holds the distinction of being one of China's most extensive and most challenging construction projects in terms of mileage, investment, and complexity. It can truly be considered a "world wonder." What's worth noting is that ERA GROUP played a pivotal role as one of the key contributors in creating this "world wonder".

ERA's PE pipes and fittings played an indispensable role in the construction of the HZMB. On the artificial island of Zhuhai-Macao Port, these piping products are applied to the island project of municipal supporting pipelines. And also used in the projects of municipal and peripheral contracting projects in the Macao Port Management Area of HZMB. These pipeline products can be said to be one of the landmark projects of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

The artificial island of Zhuhai-Macao Port located on the south side of Gongbei Bay in Zhuhai has a total area of 2.0887 million square meters. This artificial island is composed of three areas: Zhuhai Port Management Area, Macao Port Management Area and Bridge management area, and is a key connection point of the main project of the HZMB, Zhuhai and Macao. It is the only land port in China that can realize the customs clearance of passengers and vehicles from Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao, providing important support for the integrated development and convenient transportation of the Pearl River Delta region.

The pipes and fittings provided by ERA included PE water supply pipe（链接到PE给水系列) PN1.0 DN315, DN500, PN1.6 DN630 and PE steel belt reinforced spiral bellow pipes（链接到PE螺旋波纹管)  DN300 to 1000SN12.5 and other sizes of products. These piping products provided water for Ancillary works of the bridge section of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Project and the artificial island of the Zhuhai-Macao Port to meet the needs of domestic, fire protection, landscaping and rainwater sewage collection. The high quality and reliability of these pipeline products ensured the normal operation of the artificial island and provide a solid foundation for the sustainable development and operation of the bridge.

In general, ERA were honored to participate in the construction of the HZMB project, and it was our honor as a member of ERA to contribute to the engineering project which attracts the world's attention. This project not only represents China's engineering innovation and strength, but also continues to provide critical support for transportation connectivity in China and around the world, becoming a proud world-class engineering feat.
