CPVC pipe fittings are widely used in hot and cold water piping systems in civil buildings, drinking water systems in hotels, hospitals, schools and other public buildings, fire-fighting piping systems, as well as all kinds of weak acid and alkaline liquid chemical piping systems.
CPVC pipe has heat-resistant, weather-resistant, chemical medium corrosion resistance, flame retardant, smoke retardant, and other superior physical and chemical properties, the series of products in the world is becoming more and more popular, the market outlook is very broad.
What is flattening test?
As described in standard ASTM F441, the flattening test requires CPVC pipes to be flattened to 40% of their original diameter, and the sample must maintain this distance without splitting or cracking. ERA brand CPVC pipes easily passed the test. Please see the video below to learn how we perform flat testing of CPVC pipes.
In addition to CPVC pipes, ERA PIPE FITTING also performs flattening testing on a variety of other pipe types, including HDPE pipes, UPVC pipes, PPR pipes and PP pipes. The flattening test is considered a basic and routine test to ensure the quality of pipe materials. ERA carefully selects batches of pipes every 8 hours and records the results carefully to ensure that all pipes produced meet the required quality standards. This proactive approach demonstrates our commitment to delivering consistently qualified products.
