As the heating season draws to end, make sure to keep these tips in mind firmly! Maybe a small detail during the heating off period can significantly increase the lifespan of the heating system.
Underfloor heating
1. Check for leaks: When the heating supply is turned off, the temperature decreases, and the expansion and contraction due to heating and cooling may cause leaks at pipe joints and valves. Therefore, regularly check leakage in the underfloor heating system, especially at pipe connections and valve locations. If there is slight dripping, use a towel to absorb the water.
2. System clean: Normally, the cleaning cycle of the underfloor heating system is every 2 to 3 years. It is recommended to have professionals clean the heating pipes to ensure smooth flow without obstruction and normal heat dissipation.
3. Full water maintenance: After heating stops, close the heating supply and return valves, and simultaneously vent the air from the pipes through the air vent to prevent air from obstructing the flow of hot water, reducing heat efficiency. Softened water in the pipes can effectively isolate air to prevent corrosion of radiators and pipes.
System pressure: Check whether the pressure is normal, and adjust it if necessary. Too high or too low pressure may affect the normal operation of the system.
Radiator
1. Check the radiator connection: After the heating is finished, the water in the system will cause the thermal expansion and cold contraction of the components during the process of changing from hot to cold water. Check whether the radiator and the pipe connection are leaking or loose, and need to be tightened or repaired.
2. Radiator venting: Make sure the radiator system is fully vented to prevent air from obstructing the flow of hot water. It is important to perform an exhaust operation at the end of the heating season to effectively prevent oxygen corrosion and rust. This step can effectively prevent rust for steel radiators.
3. Observe water pressure and water quality: Ensure that the water pressure in the radiator system is within the normal range, not too high or too low. In addition, check the water quality regularly to avoid excessive impurities and oxygen in the water to reduce corrosion.
This year the task of "their" heating system has been completed
"They" silently guard our cold during the heating season
We should also protect "their" health during the non-heating season
I'll see you next year.
