ERA Awarded China Classification Society Certification

On February 12th, ERA Polyethylene (PE) pipe and fittings, Polypropylene (PP-R) pipe and fittings, Polyethylene (PE) steel wire mesh reinforced composite pipe, and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC-U) pipe and fittings for marine plastic pipelines passed the certification audit of China Classification Society (CCS) and obtained the CCS Factory Approval Certificate. The certification recognizes the main application scope for non-fire-resistant pipe systems in open decks, cabins, isolated compartments, void spaces, pipe tunnels, and non-fire resistant piping systems in ships and offshore facilities.

In order to explore new market and align with the business strategy, the company initiated the CCS certification process in April 2022. Following the requirements of CCS accreditation standards, the company developed technical documents including quality control procedures and type test outlines for marine products. During the evaluation period, CCS surveyors comprehensively reviewed the production equipment, process flow, quality control, and testing methods of the certified products. They conducted various technical performance tests such as internal pressure, external pressure, and low flame spread on sampled pipe systems of maximum and minimum sizes. They also verified production records, technical documentation, and personnel qualifications. With the coordinated efforts of various departments within the company, the certification process was successfully completed.

China Classification Society (CCS) is the national ship technology inspection institution and the only specialized organization in China engaged in ship classification inspection services. The CCS certificate of approval serves as the official pass for companies entering the maritime and related industrial sectors. It holds high professionalism and authority.
